Business Analytics has become a critical component for strategic success in businesses that value data-driven decision making. It is critical for those organizations that wish to maintain a competitive edge, operate efficiently and gain insight into future opportunity. This concentration provides a graduate student with the ability to visualize, analyze and communicate results drawn from historical data. The process includes data acquisition and management, to use of self-service platforms to visualize and describe historic behavior, modeling and simulation to optimize performance and advanced predictive techniques to best position and organization for the future. Students will gain experience with and exposure to a number of analytics tools that make this process achievable in current environments.
